Dillon Coil

OF COUNSEL

Before joining Cloward Trial Lawyers, Dillon spent seven years managing one of Nevada’s oldest and largest personal injury practices, where he represented thousands of injured Nevadans, with a particular focus on police officers, firefighters, laborers, and their families. That experience makes him one of the few personal injury attorneys in Nevada who fully understands how workers’ compensation and personal injury claims intersect, and how to navigate the legal pitfalls that can rob injured workers of the treatment and compensation they deserve.

Early in his career, Dillon was hired by some of the largest insurance companies and corporations in the world, giving him a firsthand view of the tactics they use to minimize or deny claims. Today, he uses that knowledge to fight back. When his clients face armies of defense lawyers hired by those same organizations, Dillon knows exactly what’s coming and how to counter it.

Of all of Dillon’s accomplishments, Dillon prides himself most when can provide peace of mind to his clients and help them restore the quality of their lives.

Dillon’s recent results reflect the breadth and depth of his practice. In 2025 he secured $14,000,000 for a union stagehand struck by a forklift on the job, $7,000,000 for the family of a motorcyclist killed by a tractor-trailer, despite only $1,000,000 of available insurance coverage, and $4,750,000 for a police officer injured when a tow truck driver lost control of a vehicle.

Other recent results include $6,000,000 for a construction worker who fell through a warehouse roof, $2,750,000 for the spouse of a corrections officer injured in a collision, $2,250,000 for a cement truck driver injured on the side of the road, $2,000,000 for a health company employee injured by a convention booth that collapsed, and $5,000,000 for a cabinet shop worker who fell through a warehouse roof.

Dillon was raised in Northern California and graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 with a degree in political science and business management. He earned his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2009, where he participated in the school’s criminal defense and intellectual property clinics and served on the Moot Court Board, competing at tournaments held at Cardozo School of Law and George Washington University School of Law.

Outside the office, Dillon is an active member of the Nevada Justice Association, where he serves on the Bill Review Committee, reviewing proposed legislation to protect the rights of Nevadans against insurance companies and other special interests. He is also deeply committed to the foster care community, serving both as a foster parent and as an attorney for children and families navigating the system. When he’s not working, he enjoys the outdoors, live music, and time with his wife and four children.
