Dillon Coil

ATTORNEY

Before joining Cloward Trial Lawyers, Dillon represented thousands of injured Nevadans while managing one of Nevada’s oldest and largest personal injury practices for nearly seven years. During that time, Dillon was focused primarily on serving injured workers, especially police officers, firefighters, laborers, and their families. Unlike most personal injury lawyers, Dillon understands the complicated interplay between personal injury and worker’s compensation claims and the legal pitfalls that often prevent injured workers from receiving the treatment and compensation they deserve.

Dillon also has a deep understanding of the methods that insurance and corporations use to cheat injury victims out of compensation. Before he represented the injured, Dillon was hired by some of the largest insurance companies and corporations in the world. This experience gives Dillon and his clients a unique advantage in combating the unfair and unscrupulous tactics employed by the armies of lawyers these organizations hire.

Of all of Dillon’s accomplishments, Dillon prides himself most when can provide peace of mind to his clients and help them restore the quality of their lives.

Recently, in November 2023, Dillon obtained a $6,000,000 settlement for a young husband and father who was seriously injured when he fell through the ceiling at work. In addition to the benefits and treatment this father received through worker’s compensation, the settlement allowed this father and his family to move on from tragedy to financial stability when he could no longer work because of his injuries.

Also in 2023, Dillon obtained $2,000,000 for a health company executive who sustained injuries when a poorly designed convention booth fell over, $1,250,000 for a client injured in a low-impact collision while waiting at a stop sign, $1,250,000 for a client who fell while standing next to his car in a grocery store parking lot after another vehicle backed into his car, and $850,000 for a client involved in a low-impact rear-end collision, among others.

Dillon’s other notable results since 2020 include $5,000,000 for a cabinet shop worker who fell through a warehouse roof and $2,250,000 for a cement truck driver who was injured on the side of the road.

Dillon was raised in Northern California. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 where he studied political science and business management. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2009. There, Dillon developed a passion for representing individuals as a member of the school’s criminal defense and intellectual property legal clinics. Dillon also served on UNH’s Moot Court Board, participating in and coaching at the Cardozo School of Law Intellectual Property Moot Court Tournament in New York City as well as the Religious Freedom Moot Court Tournament at the George Washington University School of Law.

When Dillon is not at work, his interests include spending time with his wife and four kids and doing just about anything that involves the outdoors or live music. In addition to serving in various capacities within his church and community, Dillon is an active member of the Nevada Justice Association where he contributes to the Bill Review Committee, reviewing and editing proposed legislation to ensure that the rights of Nevadans are protected against insurance companies and other special interests. Dillon also has a passion for helping children and their families in the foster care system, both as a foster parent and as an attorney.
